The 2019 Camry is the second year of the XV70 generation that arrived for 2018 on Toyota's TNGA-K platform. It is a lower, stiffer car than the Camry that came before it, with a genuinely good chassis and a 2.5L engine that uses both port and direct injection — which is why intake-valve carbon buildup, the plague of a lot of direct-injection four-cylinders, is not part of this car's story.
