The Tucson uses unequal-length front driveshafts — the passenger side is longer and runs through an intermediate shaft with a support bearing. That longer shaft operates at a slightly different angle and its outer boot is the one that typically splits first. Once the boot tears, grease flings out onto the inside of the wheel and road grit gets in, and the joint starts clicking on tight low-speed turns, most obviously when turning in a parking lot with the wheel near full lock.
The reason this matters more than it sounds is timing. A torn boot caught early is a $180 to $300 reboot job. A joint left clicking for a year needs a complete axle. On all-wheel-drive Tucsons the same applies to the rear half-shafts, though they fail far less often.
