Why does my car start fine some mornings and not others?
Intermittent no-starts usually come from a marginal battery, a corroded terminal, or a heat-sensitive starter. A battery that passes a load test at the parts store can still fail after a cold night, so a resting voltage check at the moment of failure is far more useful than a test taken later.
